Performance Indicators for Evaluating the Quality of Publication for University Ranking

Abstract


The university ranking is a major agenda for most universities. The ranking is valuable to evaluate the quality and reputation of universities. This article identified the different set of criteria from different ranking system. Publication was found as the main criteria in the assessment. It is identified that most ranking system used a comparable indicator for evaluation the university ranking; publication. For example, the number of publications is one of the criteria to measure the performance of institutions. This article also highlights the importance of university ranking and how to strategize the improve university standings in university ranking.
